CoroCoro Exclusive Bey: Ldrago Destroy DF105LRF Gold Armored Ver.

Manage to get this rare bey in my collection finally~

CoroCoro Exclusive Bey: Ldrago Destroy DF105LRF Gold Armored Ver.
Comes as the sent in limited bey for CoroCoro Comic Subscribers in Japan.

Contents Include:
Ldrago Destroy Limited Embossed Metal Facebolt
Ldrago Metal Wheel
Destroy Clear Wheel
Down Force 105 Track
Left Rubber Flat Bottom
Instructions & Stickers
Tool

This edition of the Ladrago Destroy comes with a recolored Metal Wheel and Clear Wheel.
And surprisingly, the recolor edition of the parts differ in weight from the original Ldrago Destroy~!

Ldrago Destroy Gold MW: 38.11grams
Ldrago Destroy Normal MW: 38.65grams = heavier

Ldrago Destroy Gold CW: 59.4grams = heavier
Ldrago Destroy Normal CW: 55.9grams

The most exclusive thing about the Ldrago Destroy Gold Armored Version would have to be its Super Limited Exclusive Embossed Metal FaceBolt~ this redition of the MF1 has an imprinted re-designed Ldrago Logo on it. Pretty Cool in my personal opinion~

The FaceBolt also added a new Medium weight range to the MF catagory and almost equals to a MF-Medium weight but wih higher Upper mass. *higher Upper Mass means that the FaceBolt has most of its metal mass on the top portion of the FaceBolt. Having this factor increases spin ratio by reducing center mass for balance compared to the MF-Medium. (Metal Core with Clear Ring)

Overall, the Ldrago Destroy DF105LRF Gold Armored Version is a Valuable Collectors Bey to have. Do not really see the need to use its Gold Painted Surface in battle and the purpose of the FaceBolt can be retained by a normal MF1. Perhaps the Heavier CW can be swapped with the original for more weight. So a great Bey to add for the Collection ya~

BB114 - Variares D:D

Took some time from the release date but its finally here~

BB114 - Variares D:D
Variares is a Left and Right Rotational Bey similar to Gravity Perseus, also built as a singular gimmick defence/attack auto change 4D Metal Wheel system with no Clear Wheel. D:D (Delta Drive) multiplies its variable capabilities even more with a Triple Bottom Tip Changing System. In addition, Variares D:D Bey also comes with its original Light Launcher LR~ Gimmick indeed.

Contents Includes:
FaceBolt (blank)
Variares 4D Fusion MW
Delta Drive 4D Fusion Track/Bottom
Light Launcher LR & Ripcord
Stickers & Instructions
Tool

The Variares D:D as mentioned in it name, is made of two very unique parts. The singular 4D Metal Wheel and its Delta Drive.

The Variares MW is a Gimmick Mode Change 4D Metal Wheel System. The Variares is also the first non-circular motive bey and have more jaggered edges than any released beys so far.

At max spin ratio, the Variares Defence Blades (yellow) are retracted into its full metal body, exposing only its triangular shaped metal surface and edges Maximum Attack Mode!

At low spin ratio, the MW automatically exposes its Defence Blades and covers its Metal Attack Edges to minimise surface "locking" which slows down the velocity of the Bey, retaining much spin power. Defence Mode Up!

The Variares MW weighs about 43.70grams.

The Delta Drive (D:D) is basically a Triple Mode 4D Fusion Track/Bottom that can manually change from Wide Ball (WB), Flat (F) and Sharp (S). A 3 in 1 System~

Wide Ball (WB) Mode - Defence

Flat (F) Mode - Attack

Sharp (S) Mode - Stamina

Light Launcher LR
Basically a non-Beypointer, Compact version of the Digital BeyLauncher. Comes with main launcher body and two Bey Clips L and R.

The clips are attached similar to the Digital version using locking machanism and bladers can easily change the clips manually without much hassle.

The Direction Lock is also included in this Light Launcher to switch from L to R spin so that users will not insert the Ripcord into the wrong slot when using.

Overall, the Light Launcher LR is a cool launcher to have but it is also more difficult to pull compared to the rest of the Light Launchers. Will take even more skill and practice if one would want to use this launcher.

Bey Test Trials

The major concern about the Variares MW is simple. Being a Gimmick MW, that also means that its interior is hollowed to fit the springs and movable parts in it. And like all Hollowed MW, it will have high recoil properties.

So this Trial, is to test how much recoil the Variares D:D produces and is it pro or con.

Trial Beys

1st Trial
Variares D:D (WB - Defence) versus MF2-H Gravity Perseus S130RSF (Stamina/Defence Mode)
Results: Variares = 0, Gravity = 1 / Sleep Out Win
The Recoil in this battle was pretty epic with Gravity and Variares both Recoiled to the edge of the Standard Attack Stadium. If it is not because of the 'Attack Boost Collar' Both the Beys would have Stadium Out.

2nd Trial
Variares D:D (Sharp - Stamina) versus MF2-H Gravity Perseus S130RSF (Stamina/Defence Mode)
Results: Variares = 0, Gravity = 2 / Stadium Out Win
The Recoil this time showed significant disadvantage to Variares in Stamina mode. Gravity this time round drove Variares out of the Stadium with almost no recoil to itself with it RSF Bottom. That goes to show the High Self KO possibilty of the Variares MW although heavier than Gravity MW.

3rd Trial
Variares D:D (F - Attack) versus MF2-H Gravity Perseus S130RSF (Stamina/Defence Mode)
Results: Variares = 0, Gravity = 2 / Stadium Out Win
Similar to the Stamina Trial, the Recoil of the Variares MW did its damage to itself again. delivering a dissappointing Self Recoil Stadium Out upon contact with the Gravity MW.

Conclusion:
Variares is probably the MW with the highest Recoil Ratio after the Fang MW. Not recommended to be used in Default with D:D. Bladers might wnat to consider using Rubber based Bottoms like RF when using Variares as an Attack type, RSF/RB for Defence and RS for Stamina.
Defence Blades did not prove useful as the Recoil was to big for the Defence Capability to even take place. Thou its Attack Mode does has its High Recoil and can be useful for Full Attack Users.

Overall, the Variares D:D is a great bey to add to your collection. Due to its Super High Recoil, it is Not recommended for amature bladers. If you are looking for a all round bey. Beat Lynx D:D would definately be a better choice.

Coro Coro Comic August Issue Review~

Got the latest copy from the Local Japanese Book Store~

Coro Coro Comic August Issue~
This month's issue feature no beyblades on its cover, so please do note the "yellow" 8 number and also a small ginga image on the top left side of the magazine.

Featured on the upcoming Beyblade Asian Championship on the 20 Aug ~ 21 Aug Kyoto.
Also talked about how the Japan Representatives have been winning two straight consecetive years despite a strong opponent from Korea in 2010.
"Challenge the Japan Champions! Japan is Strong!"

Next up features on the latest released Variares D:D and how bladers have been using it to defeat the towers of Bey combinations like Hell Kerbecs BD145WD (defeated by Variares D:D), Gravity Perseus BD145RF (defeated by Variares T125RS) and Basalt Horogium 230WD (defeated by Variares BD145RF). Variares D:D officially released today (16/07/2011) in Japan!

The page that many have been waiting for and heard in "Backdoor News", BB116 Random Booster Vol.8 - Jade Jupiter S130RB and BB117 Strongest Blader Set - Blitz Unicorno 100RSF~!!!

The new 4D version of the original Ray Unicorno is now Blitz Unicorno 100RSF!
It comes in a set together with 2 other beys namely Nightmare Rex UW145EWD and Basalt Horogium 130RS with a magma orange tool and MF2.

The new Blitz MW is a two layer Metal Wheel that allows the Bey to switch between 3 blades (Power Attack Mode) and 6 blades (Repeative Attack Mode). Not sure if this Unicorno new MW is going to live up to its name but the new MW design does looks like an improved Dark MW in 6 blade mode. Thou it is quite dissapointing to see that the Bey is still using 100 Track and also a Rubber Semi Flat Bottom parts.
Will do a full review once i collect it from Japan this August ya~

Random Booster Vol.8 is much anticipated as it contains all new Beys features in the Anime like Hell Crown, Screw Leya, Screw Fox and Forbidden Ionix. But i guess the main point of its "gimmick" theme this time round has to be it super rare bey, Jade Jupiter S130RB.

The Jade Jupiter S130RB (not green as expected) is known as the WBBA best Recovery Support Bey.
Reason being its 4D Metal Wheel, Jade.

Jade like Variares is a singular gimmick MW. Jade in this case contains not 2 (GB145 Track), but 4 metal stabilising Ball Bearings. Yes, like the Gravity Ball Track, Jade holds the same Stability capabilities the GB145 holds but in its MW instead!
During maximum spin ratio, the Ball Bearings are pushed far out to the 4 edge of the MW, enabling extended weight ditribution for Stamina. When the Bey reaches low spin ratio, the Ball Bearings will centralise, allowing the core to regain Stability, enabling Defence Up!

Whats even more impressive is that the Ball Bearings can be locked in place just by Switching a blade on the MW. Allowing it to be fix in Defence or Stamina Modes for maximum control in Battle Types.

Jade Jupiter also comes with a new Rubber Type Bottom, Rubber Ball~!
Already top in defence, the Ball Bottom is given a Rubber upgrade to Maximise it Defence properties~

Looks exciting ya, Jade Jupiter. Will definately be looking forward to test out this Bey and also add it to my collection~ a must have i might say. Jade Jupiter S130RB Random Booster Vol.8 will be release together with Blitz Unicorno 100RSF Strongest Blader Set on 6th August 2011 in Japan.

That all for this issue. The next CoroCoro Comic September issue comes with an Official Book Guide and also will be featuring a "home version of the Beyta?" Will be release on the 11th of August 2011.

Jade is said to be a 4D fusion metal wheel that contains 4 metal balls, similar to the Gravity Ball GB145 Track! The best part is that the Ball bearings can be locked to change from Stamina and Defence Modes!

Backdoor news: Random Booster Vol.8

Manage to get some rumor of the upcoming RBV8.
Looks like the theme for this series "Gimmick" was part of the plan for new unofficial Clear Wheels and Faces.

Beys Include:
Hell Crown 130FB
Screw Leia ED145MF
Screw Fox TR145W2D

XXXXXXXXXXX ED145FB
Divine XXXXX 90W2D
XXXXXXXXXXX 130D
Divine XXXX TR145D
XXXXXXXXX S130XX (Prize Bey)

Looks like Divine Chimera TR145FB after suffering a "freebie" treatment, is going to get another mashing again in RBV8. Not only are its parts like Divine MW and TR145 reused and recolored, even its FB is getting revamped. Well, for those whom are wondering, the "XXX" are censored by Takara Tomy till the anime releases them. So they will stay "hidden" until then.

The dissapointment would have to be the fact that the Prize Bey takes S130 as its Track and not a 4D Fusion Track/Bottom. My guess that it will most likely be Jade Jupiter S130 XX. Oh well, since now the RBV8 stash are still rated "rumor" will have to wait for my trip there in August to pry some info ya~

Till then, will fiddle around with Variares D:D for now~
Review coming soon.

CoroCoro Magazine - Metal Fight Beyblade Legend 4D Guide Book

Limited Copies available now at Kino~

CoroCoro Magazine - Metal Fight Beyblade Legend 4D Guide Book.
Following the last issue Catalog book that was release last December, this latest issue features on the latest available 4D beys from the 3rd Season. And it comes with a FULL premium bey - Divine Chimera TR145FB~!

Short feature on the upcoming Super Control Beyblade, to be release mid July 2011.
BBC01 - Big Bang Pegasus SC
BBC02 - Ldrago Destroy SC
BBC03 - SuperControl Beystadium

The following pages reviews about the current existing 4D Beys previously reviewed in CoroCoro Comic.

Also featuring the latest LR Rotation Bey - Variares D:D~!

Similar review in CoroCoro Comic with an addition information on the Delta Drive.
Apparently the Delta Drive switching system works on a 'pull', 'turn' and 'push' system. This enables the switching bottom to have a 'locking' motion so that the toggled bottom will not switch pre-maturely due to a firece battle. Good Point!

Also have a clearer feature on the Manual Switching LR Light Launcher.

The book then moves on to Review on the past Maximum Series Beys...

Just like the previous book, this issue also contains a feature on Popular 4D Competition Bey Configs for fellow bladers to try out.

Lastly, the book presents the "Rare Bey Ranking"
No.1 on the charts being Mercury Anubis 85XF (Gold, Silver and Bronze Ver.)
Holding a Japan production record of only 4 EACH!!!!! Super Rare!

The rest includes:
No.2 - Dream Pegasis (10 produced) / Sol Pegasis Gold Ver. (10 produced)

No.3 - G1 Galaxy Pegasis (Gold, Silver and Bronze) (15 produced each)
and many tied at 4th place (100 produced)

The highlight of this CoroCoro Mag would have to be the Premuim Bey that comes Free.
CoroCoro Limited Premuim Bey 2010 - Divine Chimera TR145FB~!!!
Yes, the once Super limited Divine Chimera Bey is now a Free Premium!
From feedback, many bey collectors are pretty much unhappy about the Divine being given away as a premium. It made the previous Divine Chimera collection value drop badly. Many was hoping that Coro Coro would release a Repainted version, but after all the petition, the original Gold version was still released.

Nonetheless, if you didn't already have the Divine Chimera in your Collection, its a good time to visit Kino and get your copy of CoroCoro Magazine: Legend 4D Guide ya~
