CoroCoro Comic January 2012 Issue Review

Heres a short review of the Beyblade section in,

CoroCoro Comic January 2012.
This issue of CoroCoro comes with a Duel Masters Metal Card Case premium and only have a super small image of Ginga stuck between the CoroCoro Title. So do note when you get your copy.

Featured in this issue, is the 14 in 1 bey! Diablo Nemesis X:D!
(Jap: The Heaviest Bey Ever!!!)

Yes, the complete Diablo Nemesis X:D bey is apparently the heaviest Bey so far, at 62grams~
Even exceeding its Maximum series of the last gen.

This issue reviews more of its much awaited "Active Balance Mode"
So far in the last review, only the MW is revealed, this time round is the unvealing of its 4D Fusion Track/Bottom, X(EX):Drive!

The EX Drive is basically a Triple Bottom Tip Changing Fusion Part. It can switch between S (Sharp), S2D (Stern Semi Defence) and XF (eXtreme Flat) and vice versa!
But there is more to the X:D than just a Bottom Changing Part. The Nemesis when in "Balance Mode" has an Active Changing System!

In "Active Balance Mode" the top tier MW is reversed to the lower portion, the lower MW then 'connects' to a switch device on the Fusion Track which triggers the Bottom to change. In this mode, when the Lower MW is in contact with an opponent, it switches Mode! So Mode changes according to the contact the MW encounters.

So Nemesis stays in Stamina Mode (Sharp) when no contact is advanced, when a strong attack is made, the X:D immediately changes mode to Defence Mode (S2D) to prevent K.O. When a repeative attack is made, the X:D shifts to Attack Mode (XF) to counter opponents. The combo works in reverse order also from XF to S2D to S.

looks like the X:D is a 4D Fusion Part to look out for, its like an 'Active' version of Variares D:D (Delta Drive)! Would definately want to see it in action!

Another New Bey featured is the Super Rare Bey from the Upcoming Random Booster Vol.9~
Fusion Hades AD145SWD!

The Fusion Metal Wheel is the only MW in the whole series to have a FULL Rubber Coating top tier covering the whole outer MW. It claims to have the Most intensive defence MW amoungst all defence type Beys. I wonder how it will par with the Spin absorbing Ldrago, perhaps the Ldrago finally met its Rubber Rival!!!

The Fusion Hades also comes with a new Defence Bottom, SWD (Sharp Wide Defence). SWD is basically a WD bottom with a Sharp point in the center of it. I would say its a more fortified version of Hell Kerbecs's DS (Defence Sharp) bottom. Not very skeptical about this bottom as it resembles Fang Leone's W2D (Wave Wide Defence) which isn't really all impressive. Would have to test it out to review ya.

A small sneek of the Upcoming "Christ Signus" is also revealed. Apparently the Christ Signus MW has a Free Spinning outer MW layer~! The whole outer MW is Free Spinning for the record. So i guess its great news to "zombie" Bey makers since the B:D (Bearing Drive) is already available and Scythe Kronos isn't enough to make that 'zombie' effect..., you get the point :)

Great New for bladers who are eagerly awaiting for "Omega Dragonis" appearance~ yes, its finally available!

According to the listings it will be limited to the "Strongest Dragonis 4D Guidebook" to be release in 20 Jan 2012! No mentioning that it will be a premium or a limited send in Bey Prize at the moment. So i guess you will have to hold your horses for the moment until the book is out to find out.

One thing for sure, the Bey exist and its coming!

WBBA Limited Prize Bey - Mercury Anubis 85XF (Silver Edition)

A short update of some rare Beys i got a couple of weeks back.

WBBA Limited Prize Bey - Mercury Anubis 85XF (Silver Edition).
This version of the Mercury Anubis is the 1st runner up (Silver) prize for WBBA Japan tournaments.

Contents Include:
Anubis FaceBolt
Anubis Clear Wheel
Mercury Metal Wheel
85 Track
Extreme Flat Bottom
Stickers & Instructions
Tool

In general the different variations of Anubis are the same if not for their color.
But is it just that? In fact there was a rumor going around in June 2011 claiming that a certain Mercury Anubis was more being used than the others due to a certain factor - MW weight.

Yes, as clique as it sounds, the MW weight distribution of 2 particular Mercury MWs are different.
And since i have most Mercury MWs, heres the weight listings:

first up, Mercury Anubis 85XF (Beyta Lvl 7 Prize)
weighing at 34.91grams

Mercury Anubis 85XF (Brave Version)
weighing at 34.43grams

Mercury Anubis 85XF (Beyta Lvl 10 Prize)
weighing at 34.36grams

and lastly Mercury Anubis 85XF (Silver Version)
weighing at 34.69grams

milligram difference? yes, but the very first models (lvl 7 and Silver) of the Mercury MW was heavier than the rest due to a different alloy used back then. As the rest was produced after the 4D series which used more Aluminium compound to prevent breakage due to impact for safety reasons.

like the old first version Japanese Perseus MW for the starter, the 1st gen Mercury MW has much more recoil in them thus more often used in competitions as an Attack Bey.The later retains more "Absorb" capabilities and appears 'softer' than the 1st gen Mercury MWs.

So there you have it, 4 Mercury Anubis to the collection. thou i do not see myself using them anytime soon~

CoroCoro Comic December Issue Review

The much anticipated issue of CoroCoro... Is here (ok, i am slow lol)

This issue has once again little coverage on Beyblade on its cover.
only a small image of Ginga on the bottom left corner, so do take note.

The reason why this issue is quite 'hot'? It features the much awaited sneek review of the new Diablos Nemesis bey! "The Completion of the Diablos Nemesis!" "All Beys fused into one!"

The Diablo is a complex 2-tier interchangable 4D Metal Wheel with no symetrical surface. This means the attribute of this MW is pretty much unpredictable since no surface area is the same!

There are 14 Bey "attributes" in the Diablo Nemesis CW/MW alone!

the Nemesis CW fuses "Jade Jupiter, Dio Uranus and XXX Signus (new bey)" = 3

the Diablo MW top tier fuses parts from "Beat Lynx, Fang Leone and Phantom Orion" = 3

the lower MW tier fuses parts from "Ldrago Destroy, BigBang Pegasis, Variares, Flame Sagitario, Scythe Kronos, XXXHades (rbv9), Blitz Unicorno and Death Quetzalcoat. = 8

All together 14 Beys!!! No details about its 4D Track and Bottom is released yet thou. It will be feature in next month's issue. Hope that it will be a gimmick part~

The new Duo Uranus 230WD is also featured.

The Duo MW is a 2-tier Counter Weight shift Metal Wheel. Basically the Duo MW can interchange between 2 modes.

in Stamina Mode, the top tier of the Duo MW is aligned perfectly with its lower MW, creating a solid 2 layer MW with equal weight distribution.
in Attack mode, the top MW is slightly shifted outwards on one side of the MW, creating a weight shift effect like the Basalt MW. Due to the mono sided weight the MW will cause the Bey to move around in the Stadium instead of staying in the Center like the Stamina Mode.

Will review more once the DX Ultimate Reshuffle Set set arrive~

BB-119 Death Quetzalcoatl 125RDF

Next bey after all the Bearing Madness...

BB-119 Death Quetzalcoatl 125RDF

Contents Include:
FaceBolt (Blank)
Quetzalcoatl Clear Wheel
Death 4D 2-Tier Metal Wheel
125 Track
Rubber Defence Flat Bottom
Light Launcher 2 with Ripcord
Stickers & Instructions
Tool

The Death MW is known as the "wall" in the 4D series of Bey due to its high MW height (in Attack Mode).

Death 4D MW is a 2-Tier inter flip capable MW system that ables 2 mode changes, Attack and Defence.

In Attack Mode, the Death is a tall, metal 'Wall' with many indents and jaggered design on its surface. Its 'crown-like' design maximises its attack capabilities to taller opponents and the hollow grooves in the lower tier depletes opponents spin ratio greatly when in contact with another MW.

In Defence Mode, the top metal ring is flipped over to conceal the hollow grooves on the lower metal wheel forming a thick and round MW. The small displacement between the 2 MWs retains a little 'Recoil' capability.

The Qestzalcoatl also introduce yet another new Rubber-based bottom after the Rubber Ball, the Rubber Defence Flat (RDF). the RDF, in a simple way is a crossover between the Flat bottom and a 'seasoned' Rubber Sharp bottom.

When launched, the RDF performs similar to a Flat, making small circular motion around the mid section of the Bey Stadium.

When countered by another Bey, the RDF functions like a Rubber Sharp, making it very difficult for the opponent Bey to move the Quetzalcoatl from its position.

The RDF, surprisingly holds a little Stamina capability in it despite it being a rubber Flat bottom, of course don't expect any fantasic Bearing Drive like stamina ya.

Overall, the Death Quetzalcoatl 125RDF is quite an all rounder when it comes to Attack and Defence capabilities. With the right Track and Bottom configurations could be quite a good Attack or Defence Bey. The design on the Death MW also make it a must have for any collector. Good Bey to add to the stash~

CoroCoro Comic November Issue Review

A week late, but i guess this issue is a must to review~

CoroCoro Comic November Issue
This month's issue has practically no Bey related images printed on its cover. The only clue you can get is on the middle of the cover, a super tiny image of ginga under the green words. (yup, thats all)

Why the review? This issue talks about the Final Forms of Pegasis and Ldrago!
Jap top: "Pegasis and Ldrago Final Upgrade Transformation!!"
Jap bottom: " Wing Pegasis 90WF and Ldrago Guardian S130MB is Born!!"

The Big Bang Pegasis, known for its Attack 'wings' given an even more powerful "One Strike" explosive Attack design. The Ldrago Destroy, defence/absorb capabilities are also given a massive 'Defence Type' Upgrade. I guess this means we will be expecting 'Recoil' capabilities added to both MWs.

A look at the new Wing Pegasis 90WF, no doubt the mode changing capabilites are forsaken and a more 'upper type' slope design is added to the Wing MW. The triangular piece of MW between the sloped Upper Wings must be the source of the mentioned "One Strike" capability. Similar to Blitz Unicorno's attack Fins, the added "fins" between the Sloped Wings will deliver a 'recoil' attack upon impact.

The Ldrago Guardian S130MB on the other hand is Upgraded to become a more balanced defensive type bey instead of an Attack type. I find the design of the MW similar to the Ldrago 'Rush Mode' minus the jaggard thorns. Since it was mentioned that the new MW will have more powerful 'Defensive' capabilities, my guess iis that it will be hollowed to some extend to propelle a powerful 'recoil' on its opponent. The Absorbing Rubber/PC portion of the MW still remain unchanged.

A small preview of a 3 Bey is also included, as many already mentioned, its probably Uranus. More review on it will be released in next month's issue. What known so far is that it has a 2-tier spiral shaped MW and comes with a 230 Track.

All 3 new beys comes in a DX Ultimate Reshuffle Set, to be released in Late November.

The next page reviews newly released Death Quezacolt 125RDF.

The 4D Death MW is known as the "Rotating Wall". Its so due to its height in MW compared to thinner MWs like Flame, Thermal, Scythe and Forbidden. The Death MW is able to change between two modes by flipping the top tier MW ring.
In Attack Mode, the uneven design on the surface during Attack Mode, degrades the opponent spin ratio greatly upon contact.
In Defence Mode, The grooves on the MW are 'closed' or 'hidden', this minimises surface impact, increasing stamina.

The New 4D Bottom is 'Rubber Defence Flat' (RDF). As clique as it sounds, RDF is the only rubber bottom with a 'Balance Type' catagory rating. The RDF is able to deliver a vigorous Attack motion like RF, Defence capabilities like RB and Stamina abilities like RS. An all-rounder to tackle any opponent types.

As much as i wish that Death Quezacolt and its RDF not ending up like Jade Jupiter (in the shelf...) I can't help but feel doubtful about how great it is. Will have to test it out to convince i guess.

A page on the New Home Edition Ultimate Beyta Stadium!
The Ultimate Beyta Stadium comes with a Prototype Nemesis Bey that have a magnetic core~ this is so to enable the Beyta Stadium to 'Power' up the Bey whenever it goes to the center. Yes, there is a rotating magnetic 'power point' in the center of the Stadium. The direction of the "power point" and height of the Prototype Nemesis is also adjustable to acustom to all kinds of training enviroment. Great Bey Stadium to have for training without peers ya.

in promotion to the new release in Japan, all 1st batch of the Ultimate Beyta Stadium purchase from the official Beyta Shops in Japan will come with a Limited Big Bang Pegasis Blue Wing Version. (Please Note that this is ONLY in Japan during the promo period.)

last but not least, the epic most anticipated Bey in 4D history! Diablo Nemesis!
According to 'Backdoor News' the Diablo MW is a very detailed and complex designed MW with Big Bang Pegasis, Ldrago Destroy and Fang Leone as its main motive with function elements from Blitz Unicorno, Phantom Orion, and Uranus. Its Track and Bottom are fusions of Variares, Scythe Kronos, Jade Jupiter, Beat Lynx and Death Quezacolt. Very WTH indeed. too bad we must wait till the next issue to see its Full Released Image.

In total there are 14 Beys in its motive design, can't wait to see it all come together ya~
For now, how many Beys can you find in its complex Face Design?
