BBG-14/15 Metal Stone Face Custom

As the Metal Face 2 from the previous series can't be used with the new ZeroG system, a new set of Metal Face is released.

BBG-14 Metal Stone Face Custom (Flame Red)
BBG-15 Metal Stone Face Custom (Ocean Blue)

Contents Include:
Metal Stone Face Core
Metal Stone Face Outer Ring
Clear Stone Face Core
Clear Stone Face Outer Ring
Tool with MSF storage

The new MSF Custom work and functions pretty much similar as the previous versions with the standard Feather (MSF-F), Light (MSF-L), Middle (MSF-M) and Heavy (MSF-H)

The approximate weights and attributes of the following is as such (for reference only)

MSF-F (1.39g)
Similar to a Clear Stone Face but slightly higher in mass (normal CSF - 1.24g). General in performance. High in Stamina and Movement.

MSF-L (3.53g)
Light also known as "Zero Core" in Japan, is a Stamina/Defense based combo and supports Bey Combos with a higher outer centrifugal weight distribution and increases Recoil and Movement

MSF-M (3.50g)
Middle or "Middle Core" is a Balance/Absorb combo that works well with Low Tracked Combos. Prevents tilt when used with combos below 145. It also lowers Recoil impact by absorbing the recoil of the opponents bey.

MSF-H (5.76g)
As its name suggest, Heavy is the maxed out MSF combo with maximum Attack and Absorb abilities but very Low in Stamina when used with an Attack based combo.

The Tool attachment is now re-designed to the center so that the Tool can be used like a 'Tap'. The new MSF Tool can still be used for previous Clear FaceBolts/Bottoms.

CoroCoro Comic September Issue Review

Hi BeyGenSG peeps, I am back from my summer vacation in Japan~
Will be resuming my regular reviews of Beyblades soon ya :)

First up, CoroCoro Comic September Issue Review
This issue of CoroCoro comes with a mini comic and a big Pokemon B2W2 Poster with all the latest pokemon list. Only a small image of Kurogane Zero is spotted above the black bat/cat? on the right side of the book.

Sadly, this issue of CoroCoro only have a full page of Beyblade feature. This time its talks about the popular Dark Knight Dragooon combinations that is storming the ZeroG competitions in Japan.
(Jap:CoroCoro Dragooon Customization!!! Dou:Anger, Ra:Asura, Gon: Army)

The "Dou" or Anger combo consist of:
MSF-Light
Dragooon ChW
Ifraid ChW
Elevator 230 Track
Gear Circle Flat Bottom

Basically a full Attack based bey which emphasize on speed and power in its attack, not mentioning that the Dragooon Chromium Wheel positioned on the top tier, makes it a left spin Bey, dealing more counter damage to its opponents.

The "Ra" or Asura combo consist of:
Clear Stone Face
Dragooon ChW (Left Spin)
Reviser ChW
Switch 145 Track
Sharp Ball Bottom

Asura is a warrior with many powerful arms and in this case represents the Beys high Repetitive Attack capabilities combined with Balance and Adsorb abilities. The mode changing SW145 allows the Asura combo to change between Attack and Adsorb modes. The Balance and Defense capabilities of the Reviser greatly increase the "leeching" ability of the Left Spin Asura Combo Bey.

The "Gon" or Army combo consist of:
MSF-Heavy
Dragooon ChW (Left Spin)
Gargoyle ChW
Armor 230 Track
Blade Semi Flat

Army combo is represented by the Mass Defensive abilities of an army wall. Therefore, the Army combo have very high Defense and Attack capabilities. The Left Spin Gargoyle ChW has a very high recoil and when coupled with A230's high defence Track, creates a powerful recoil defense Bey. The addition of the Blade Semi Flat Attack movements, the Army combo is a Defensive Attack Bey not to be met with~

Featured in the next issue is Bandit Golem DF145BS the first "Rock-Type" Elemental Bey!

A little "spoiler" feature is also spotted in the comics section, previewing the 2 Rock-Type Elemental Beys and their owners. Bandit Golem - Iwayama Yoshio and  Berserker Begirados - Hayama Kira.

More of  Berserker Begirados SR200BWD will be featured in the next issue.

On the Back of the CoroCoro Comic features BBG16 - Dark knight Dragooon and

BBG20 - Bandit Golem DF145BS and BBG21 - First ZeroG Battle Set which are on sale now in Japan~

Killerken ChW & Pirates CrW

The Killerken Chromium Wheel is a Water Elemental Defence Type metal wheel. Designed with the motif of the Water Beast 'Kraken' which is a giant octopus-like creature. 8 shield-like blades surround the outer circumference of the wheel consisting of 2 bigger and 6 smaller sections. The inner wheel is designed with the "tentacle" of an octopus in a gradient slope shape.
The Pirates Crystal Wheel is identical to the CrW from Pirates Orojya 145D except different in color.

Looking at the MMS Graph, the Killerken ChW appears to have a 'scattered' weight distribution pattern. Wall structure of the metal in the wheel is also dim, which means the walls around the outer rim is thin. The Killerken ChW design moves all its metal mass to the top layer of the wheel and keeps its lower half hollow. Which creates a great Recoil in this case.

The Killerken Chromium Wheel weighs apx 30.48g

And a Full Synchrom Killerken weighs at apx 60.75g

Armor 230 Track

The Armor 230 Track is a new part that only Pirates Killerken has at the moment. It is a Armored redition of the previous 230 Track as compared in the image above.

The A230 although known as a defense part, holds a very high Attack ability due to its irregular shape and surface. (Similar to the 4D Flash Metal Wheel which is Oval in shape when in Attack Mode).

Juke Sharp Ball

JSB Bottom, also a new part is basically a combination of the Juke Ball (JB) and Sharp Ball (SB). Not only does it have a higher Tilt Ratio tolerance, it also has a higher grip than the smooth surfaced SB.

Performance

When launched in the ZeroG Standard Attack Stadium the Pirates Killerken A230JSB stays in the absolute center section just like the Guardian Revizer 160SB.

When a high Tilt Ratio is introduced, the Killerken is quick to response but moves around for half a cycle around the lower stadium before going to a Stamina state. A slight angling is also noted, this could be due to the high track that made the center of gravity higher causing an unbalanced CG.

Bey Battle Trials

Trial will be between "Pirates Killerken A230JSB" versus "Guardian Revizer 160SB". Both the Beys are Defence Types and of same elemental.

Upon launched, the recoil was immediately seen between the two Chromium Wheels. But a Greater recoil was noted as the Killerken was thrown far back into the stadium edge while the Revizer circles around due to the tilting of the stadium caused by Killerken's weight shift.

At this point the Pirates Killerken A230JSB slides back to the center portion of the Attack area in a slight back angle and induced a great attack to the Revizer with its A230 Track, sending it to the Stadium Out pocket!

The A230 Algorithm (how it works)

When the opponent bey is in the "Attack Area" in the A230 Track, it is exposed to an uneven surface.

This surface, when making a sudden turn in position, creates an Attack to the opponent by rotating a "smash" due to the irregular shaped Track design (oval shaped). Quite an effective Attack Track design.

Overall the Pirates Killerken A230JSB is a high Recoil Bey with some interesting performance parts like A230 and JSB which are pretty useful when used against a lower tracked opponent. The overall Balance Weight of the Bey is too high and would suggest inverting to Crystal Up setting to lower the CG. A must have for all Bladers.

Samurai Ifraid W145CF (Alter Ver.)
Yet another recolor version of the Samurai Ifraid (offically 3 so far, specials not included), this time in crystal yellow. I wonder how many renditions are there going to be.

ZeroG Light Launcher (Vermillion Ver.)
Or also known as Hiryuin Shinobu's Beylauncher. Since it is the same color as the launcher he was using in the anime. this Vermillion Version could be the matching launcher for his Shinobi Saramanda~

The BBG-13 Beyblade Synchrom Battle Set is a good Starter for bladers whom want to mix and match some synchrom combinations thou getting the RBVs would also be great. Overall, its a good to have Set for any Bladers.

BBG-12 Archer Gryph C145S

BBG-12 Archer Gryph C145S
Archer Gryph is the 1st of the 'Sky' Elemental series and is a Balance Type Bey.

Contents Include:
Metal Stone Face - 5.46g
Archer Crystal Wheel - 5.05g
Gryph Chromium Wheel - 29.74g
Claw 145 Track - 3.19g
Sharp Bottom - 0.54g
Stickers & Instructions
Tool

Gryph ChW & Archer CrW

The Gryph Chromium Wheel has a motif design of a "Griffon", a four legged bird. Like the Motif the Bey has  single hawk-like head and four "scaled" outer sections with two wing design in its inner circumference. The 5 extruding sections have both Attack and Defense abilities.
The Archer Crystal Wheel resembles a Bow and Arrow as its motif is of an Archer. The Bi-symmetric design creates an off-set weight on two sides which makes the Bey sway when in motion. Similar to 4D's Lyra Clear Wheel.

The Magnetic Mass Saturation Graph shows that the Gryph Chromium wheel has quite an even weight distribution between it metal structure. The thin outer walls with hollow inner linings increases "recoil".

The Gryph Chromium Wheel weighs at 29.74g.

The full Synchrom Gryph ChW weighs 59.46g.

The Archer Gryph also comes with a past generation part Claw145. Nothing different in design and pretty much the same as the older series versions

It also comes with Sharp Bottom. No differ when compared with the older series version.

Performance

The Archer Gryph C145S when launch in the standard ZeroG Attack Stadium, goes into Stamina mode almost with no delay.

But when a high tilt is made the C145 hits against the stadium surface and causes some serious tilting issues as the tilt balance of the Bey is affected by the Archer CrW.

Bey Battle Trials

Battle trial is done between another Balance type Bey from the Fire Elemental.
Archer Gryph C145S vs Shinobi Saramanda SW145SD

The Battle started off with a very big recoil when the two beys came in contact in the center of the stadium causing both Archer and Shinobi to recoil off balanced only to hit the edge of the stadium.

The recoil fron the beys took most of the stamina out of their spin after a couple clashes and after 16secs...

Archer Gryph, Sleep Out.

The issue here might be the Balance factor of the ChW and CrW. Unlike the unbalanced Archer Crystal Wheel that Gryph have, Shinobi CrW is much Symmetrically designed and balanced out the overall tilt better. The C145 also slowed the Archer Glyph down greatly as its "claws" were more in contact with the surface then the SW145.

Overall, the Archer Gryph C145S is more of a pure Stamina Bey and lack serious Stamina values due to its C145 Track and unbalanced Archer Crystal Wheel. The Gryph Chromium Wheel proves to be able to pack a full recoil even to the thick armored Saramanda ChW, would recommend to be used in an attack combination. The Archer Gryph C145S is as average Bey but worth getting as a collection.
