Instructions
Tool

The Basalt Metal Wheel Comparison (Japan Left, Sonokong Right)
Both the MW weighs the same with miligram differences. Thou seems the finishing of the Japan one is much more smooth than the initial Sonokong version. Nonetheless they both still work fine.

Bey Battle Trials can be found here

BB-104 Basalt Horogium 145WD (SonoKong Version)

Found a bey in one of the local comic store today...

BB-104 Basalt Horogium 145WD (SonoKong Ver.)
The Japan Version is due 19 Feb, but i find that i might as well do a review on this version while waiting for it.

Contents Include:
Clear Horogium Facebolt
Horogium Clear Wheel
Basalt Metal Wheel
145 High Track
Wide Defence Bottom
Snipe Launcher & Rip Cord
Instructions
Tool

Basalt Metal Wheel
Notice that the MW has an irregular weight distribution.
This is to enable the Basalt MW to sightly wobble vertically to catch low opponent Bey under its 145 Track to deliver a "Smash Attack".

The "Smash Attack" is possible due to its heavy MW (48g) making it almost to tilt the bey when in rotation.

Overall the Basalt Horogium is 54g (Not the heaviest Bey Overall ^o^)

Bey Battle Test

Stamina Test
Basalt Horogium 145WD
3 Runs done in a Standard Stamina Stadium

Results follows:
1st Run = 1min 43sec
2nd Run = 2min 10sec
3rd Run = 2min 12sec

Overall, Basalt is not your typical Stamina type Bey.
It actually moves in a 'off-center' circular motion which probably affect its stamina performance.

Counter Test
Basalt Horogium 145WD vs. Earth Ario 100WD
Attempt to test Counter Radius with minimum or no movement.

Results follows:
Counter Radius
Minimum 45mm
Maximum 320mm (Stadium Out)

Quite a decent counter level to Stadium Out opponent beys.

Summary
Basalt Horogium isn't the typical buy and win it all Bey. It requires the user to have some good launching techiques and control. Thou off the box it can really do some serious counter damage to light beys its not all dandy when it comes to stamina resistance.

BB-104 Basalt Horogium 145WD Secret

Found a review on the Basalt Metal Wheel pretty interesting. (image taken from WBBA Production Blog for reference only.)

Apparently, the basalt wheel i heavier than the banned pre-HWS Libra and the recent Hell MW. (well we all know that dun we.)

What was interesting was that the Basalt was not just a "heavy" Metal Wheel, but it has a hidden "off center weight" design hidden in the MW.

The difference in mass between the heavy solid portion and the sudden empty pocket in the MW, allows the Basalt to deliver a strong 'counter' effect to its opponent when hit. (was wondering why all the japan users use RS for its bottom) super effective against attack types.

Can't wait to get it to do some test reviews and put this powerhouse to action XD
