BB-104 Basalt Horogium 145WD (SonoKong Version)

Found a bey in one of the local comic store today...

BB-104 Basalt Horogium 145WD (SonoKong Ver.)
The Japan Version is due 19 Feb, but i find that i might as well do a review on this version while waiting for it.

Contents Include:
Clear Horogium Facebolt
Horogium Clear Wheel
Basalt Metal Wheel
145 High Track
Wide Defence Bottom
Snipe Launcher & Rip Cord
Instructions
Tool

Basalt Metal Wheel
Notice that the MW has an irregular weight distribution.
This is to enable the Basalt MW to sightly wobble vertically to catch low opponent Bey under its 145 Track to deliver a "Smash Attack".

The "Smash Attack" is possible due to its heavy MW (48g) making it almost to tilt the bey when in rotation.

Overall the Basalt Horogium is 54g (Not the heaviest Bey Overall ^o^)

Bey Battle Test

Stamina Test
Basalt Horogium 145WD
3 Runs done in a Standard Stamina Stadium

Results follows:
1st Run = 1min 43sec
2nd Run = 2min 10sec
3rd Run = 2min 12sec

Overall, Basalt is not your typical Stamina type Bey.
It actually moves in a 'off-center' circular motion which probably affect its stamina performance.

Counter Test
Basalt Horogium 145WD vs. Earth Ario 100WD
Attempt to test Counter Radius with minimum or no movement.

Results follows:
Counter Radius
Minimum 45mm
Maximum 320mm (Stadium Out)

Quite a decent counter level to Stadium Out opponent beys.

Summary
Basalt Horogium isn't the typical buy and win it all Bey. It requires the user to have some good launching techiques and control. Thou off the box it can really do some serious counter damage to light beys its not all dandy when it comes to stamina resistance.

BB-102 Screw Capricone 90MF

After a long wait, the 4th 'Maximum' bey is finally here~

BB-102 Screw Capricone 90MF

Contents Include:
Clear Capricone Facebolt
Capricone Clear Wheel
Screw Metal Wheel
90 Low Track
Metal Flat Bottom
Instructions & Stickers
Tool

The "Maximum Upper" Screw MW and MF Metal Flat Bottom.

WBBA has claimed that Screw Capricone has the maximum upper and could easily Stadium Out any bey at full potential force. (FPF = 4 revolations)

Maximum Upper Test
Ran a 6 match trial on Screw Capricone 90MF against Hell Kerbecs BD145DS (Normal Mode) in a Standard Stamina Stadium.

Results follows:
BB-102 Screw Capricone 90MF (40g)= W4 L2 D0 KO4
BB-99 Hell Kerbecs BD145DS (NM) (54g) = W2 L4 D0 KO0

Screw Capricone was able to Stadium Out Hell Kerbecs (Normal Mode) on 4 out of 6 times.
Pretty Impressive indeed, judging that Hell Kerbecs is a very heavy Bey (54g).

Unfortunately, it doesn't work well after i changed the Hell Kerbecs to Boost Mode and RF.
But Tests are on default congurations so its all in the figures ya~

BB-99 Hell Kerbecs BD145DS (Asia Release Version)

The "Asia Release Version of BB-99 Hell Kerbecs BD145DS is out in the local stores.

Comparison image of Local Version (Front) and Japan Version (Back)

As you can see, since we do not have the 'Bey Tai Point Card System' in SG the Image of the Point Card description is replaced with bey user Damian Hart.

Either than that, all of its contents are similar in quality and the BeyLaunchers are the same.
(Light Launcher 2 black version)

BB-100 Random Booster Vol.6

3rd Bey of the Maximum Series unfortunately happens to be the Rare prize of Random Booster Vol.6

BB-100 Killer BeaFowl UW145EWD

Contents include:
Clear BeaFowl Facebolt
BeFowl Clear Wheel
Killer Metal Wheel
Upper Wing Track
Eternal Wide Defence Bottom
Instructions & Stickers
Tool

Exclusive UW145(Upper Wing) and EWD(Eternal Wide Defence)
Upper Wing has two modes

The Defence Mode(Left) and The Attack Mode(Right)
EWD is basically a WD(Wide Defence) with ES(Eternal Sharp) as its center.

Looks plain without its 'rainbow' color stickers but i will keep it as it is.

BeyBattle Testing

EWD Stamina Test - the highlight of BB-100 would have to be its Bottom.
Being its "Maximum" condition, lets see if EWD could live up to its name as "Most Longest Stamina Bottom".

On its default configuration, the EWD was trial 10 times with the following results.
1st Run: 3mins 40sec
2nd Run: 3mins 42sec
3rd Run: 3mins 50sec
4th Run: 3mins 55sec
5th Run: 4mins 02sec
6th Run: 4mins 02sec
7th Run: 4mins 01sec
8th Run: 4mins 30sec
9th Run: 4mins 23secs
10th Run: 4mins 42 secs
It seems the EWD runs better the more it is used.

WD Versus EWD Test
Test Bey "MF Earth Ario 100WD" vs. "Earth Beafowl 100EWD"
Both Beys are weighed to be the same.

6 Run Trial Results

MF Earth Ario 100WD W0 L6 D0 KO0
Earth Beafowl 100EWD W6 L0 D0 KO0

Results are astonishing~

EWD could really be the best Stamina/Defence Bottom ever made!

Now for a little omake for my readers XD

Weight With Box
Killer BeaFowl UW145EWD = 71g
Galaxy Cancer D125HF = 67g
Burn Elscorpio 100HF = 68g
Flame Gemios 105CS = 69g
Killer Elscorpio 100D = 67g
Galaxy Sagitario 145CS = 66g
Flame Cancer D125RF = 70g
Burn Sagitario 105HF = 67g

Killer BeaFowl is the heaviest...
you know what to do ya~

Mori Customed Rip Tab Protector~

Noticed that many bladers Beylaunchers have broken rip tabs during a recent tournament.
Those that broke happen due to the letting off of the tab at maximum pull, the recoil pulls back and caused the tab to hit back with an impact that breaks it.

Tried using BB-81 Launcher Rubber, but the rubber tab is hard and heavy, so sometimes will bruise the hand when the tab recoils back.

Solution...

Mori Customised Foam Launcher Tab Protector Set.

A PVC inlay covered with EVA foam and a silicon recoil stopper.

Results, Painless, Soundless retract of the rip tab with no impact to the plastic tab protected in its foam jacket = no breakage to the tab and no bruises to the hand XD

Cheers~!

BB-93 Booster Ray Unicorno D125CS

Got my hands on a Booster version of the Ray Unicorno

BB-93 Ray Unicorno D125CS

Reason: to do a comparison test between the two versions.
BB-71 (Back) and BB-93(Front)

Parts Layout

The test started as there was a rumor that the Booster version has a heavier Metal Wheel than the Starter version. And so the simple test begin with the weighing of the two Metal Wheels.

The MW of BB-71 weighs 29grams.

And the MW of BB-93 weighs 30grams (1g more)

So it is true that there IS a weight difference between the two versions!

Futhermore to add, the Track and Bottom of the two versions are also different.

BB-71 Track and Bottom are Opaque Grey and BB-93 Track and Bottom are Clear Gray in color.
In weight their the same.

I ran some battle test between the two beys and the results are as follows.

Battle Test 10 Rounds on Standard Stamina Stadium.
BB-71 = W2 L5 D1 KO2
BB-91 = W7 L2 D1 KO0
Overall, BB-91 Win 7

Of course, I don't believe 1g would make such big difference in results but there you have it.
