Gryph ChW & Archer CrW

The Gryph Chromium Wheel has a motif design of a "Griffon", a four legged bird. Like the Motif the Bey has  single hawk-like head and four "scaled" outer sections with two wing design in its inner circumference. The 5 extruding sections have both Attack and Defense abilities.

The Archer Crystal Wheel resembles a Bow and Arrow as its motif is of an Archer. The Bi-symmetric design creates an off-set weight on two sides which makes the Bey sway when in motion. Similar to 4D's Lyra Clear Wheel.

The Magnetic Mass Saturation Graph shows that the Gryph Chromium wheel has quite an even weight distribution between it metal structure. The thin outer walls with hollow inner linings increases "recoil".

The Gryph Chromium Wheel weighs at 29.74g.

The full Synchrom Gryph ChW weighs 59.46g.

The Archer Gryph also comes with a past generation part Claw145. Nothing different in design and pretty much the same as the older series versions

It also comes with Sharp Bottom. No differ when compared with the older series version.

Performance

The Archer Gryph C145S when launch in the standard ZeroG Attack Stadium, goes into Stamina mode almost with no delay.

But when a high tilt is made the C145 hits against the stadium surface and causes some serious tilting issues as the tilt balance of the Bey is affected by the Archer CrW.

Bey Battle Trials

Battle trial is done between another Balance type Bey from the Fire Elemental.

The Battle started off with a very big recoil when the two beys came in contact in the center of the stadium causing both Archer and Shinobi to recoil off balanced only to hit the edge of the stadium.

The recoil fron the beys took most of the stamina out of their spin after a couple clashes and after 16secs...

The issue here might be the Balance factor of the ChW and CrW. Unlike the unbalanced Archer Crystal Wheel that Gryph have, Shinobi CrW is much Symmetrically designed and balanced out the overall tilt better. The C145 also slowed the Archer Glyph down greatly as its "claws" were more in contact with the surface then the SW145.

Overall, the Archer Gryph C145S is more of a pure Stamina Bey and lack serious Stamina values due to its C145 Track and unbalanced Archer Crystal Wheel. The Gryph Chromium Wheel proves to be able to pack a full recoil even to the thick armored Saramanda ChW, would recommend to be used in an attack combination. The Archer Gryph C145S is as average Bey but worth getting as a collection.

This months edition of CoroCoro only features a small image of Hagane Zero under the Coro wordings. Premiums that comes with this issue includes a Pokemon B2W2 mini rare pokemon guide, a Duel Masters Insert Comic, posters and some game cards from a new game machine in Japan.

The Left Spin Dark Knight Dragooon is owned by Kurayami Sakyo (not Ryuga) and is the only Left Spin Bey in the Zero G series so far. Released on the 21st of July 2012.

Apparently the Dark Knight Crystal Wheel and Dragooon Chromium Wheel when 'Synchrom' with other Beys, Alter the Direction of the Bey's Spin direction! Yes, that also means as long any Synchrom combination done with either the CrW or ChW your bey will become Left Spin!!!

Also released on the 21st July is BBG-17 ZeroG RBV2 with Super Rare Archer Gagoru (Gargoyle) SA165WSF (Switch Attack 165, Wide Semi Flat).more details and review when i get the bey ya~

CoroCoro Comic July Issue Review~

This months magazine cover only features a very tiny image of Zero just below the "480yen" on the CoroCoro title. Mag comes with a Inazuma Go2 and Pokemon B&W2 mini comic and 3 Exclusive Duel Masters Foil Cards! The sad news is, there is only 1 fold out review page about the upcoming ZeroG Beys.

The first page of the fold out page reveals the new Bey, Dark Knight Dragooon LW160BSF~
"The rebirth of the Left Spin Dragon!" *and yes Dragooon is spelt with 3 'O's  lol

As you might notice the new Dark Knight Dragooon is a Left Spin Bey, similar to the past Ldrago(s). The motive design of the Chromium Wheel is clearly a fusion of the different versions of the Ldrago (Guardian and Destroy). Owner of the Dragooon Bey is Kuroyami Sakyou (nah, not kenta or ryuga)

On the first look the Metal wheel seemed a little thin and might have some weight problems. Thou the reviews talks about the Dragoon's "head" design is shaped to deliver "Strong Repetitive Attacks". The Dark Knight Dragooon being L-Spin, travels in the opposite direction to the R-Spin beys in the ZeroG Stadium.

The series of images shows how the L-Spin Dark Knight Dragooon changes the play in the normal ZeroG Stadium. Apparently, like ALL the Ldragos in the Bey history, "Absorbing" is its strong point. In this case, the Dragooon was able to "Absorb" the power of the R-Spin Beys in the Stadium by neutralizing the movement of the Stadium against the direction flow. Kinda cool. Will have to wait for more sneaks on the performance of the LW160 Track and BSF Bottom.

The back of the pull out page is the Catalog of the currently available Zero G beys, with some sneaks of the upcoming June and July released beys.

New on the List in July, Dark Knight Dragooon LW160BSF, belongs to the new "Sky Type Elemental" group.

On 23rd June, BBG-12 Archer Gryph C145S. It appears the original "Shinobi Gryph" was finalised with a new Crystal Wheel, "Archer" instead and appears to belong to the 'Sky Type Elemental". Yes, and it comes with a rather disappointing Claw145 Track and Sharp Bottom.

On the same day 23rd June, BBG-13 Pirates Kiraken (Kraken) A230JSB. Comes in the Sychrome Battle Set with one other Bey (Samurai Ifraid?) and a orange color ZeroG Light Launcher. This 3rd "Water Type Elemental" bey comes with two rather interesting parts, the Armor 230 (A230) Track, which appears to be a 230 Track with Armor-like defense fin surface and Juke Sharp Ball (JSB). In short its the 'Juke" version of the Sharp Ball Bottom that comes with Guardian Reviser.

Also features the rest of the "Fire Type Elemental" Beys, Samurai Ifraid, Shinobi Saraamanda and Thief Pheonic. The two current "Water Type Elemental" Beys, Pirates Orojya and Guardian Reviser are also shown.

More reviews on the new Beys in the next CoroCoro~ can't wait XD

Belongs to Eto Unabara's brother, Kaito (Kite). the Guardian Revizer is an all round Defense type bey, first in the ZeroG series.

Guardian Crystal Wheel and Revizer Chromium Wheel

 

The Guardian is a rather light and rounded Crystal Wheel and have a 'Shield' design motif on it. It is also shaped like the Chromium Wheel to support the overall balance of the Bey. The outer circumference of the  Guardian CrW has little wave designs that supports as defense fins.

The Revizer Chromium Wheel is a very all rounded ChW with a very tall defense 'Wall' around its circumference. With only two small openings on each of the sides of the ChW, the Reviser has almost no point of Attack or Stamina down points against an Attack type opponent.

From the side, the 'Wall' of the Revizer is almost smooth and have no points to deteriorate its spin ratio besides the two small gaps. The 'Wall' is also very high and prevents smash attacks from opponents.

The Magnetic Mass Saturation Graph  shows that the Revizer has a 'Ring' type weight saturation pattern. The inner ring and outer ring. This unique design, pockets a gap between the two areas and as seen in previous Defense types, this also means that the Revizer ChW possess a high Recoil.

The Revizer Chromium Wheel weighs approximately  -30.51g

A Full Sychrom Revizer weighs aprx -60.75g 

and the Full Water Elemental Sychrom, Orojya Revizer weighs -59.81g

Chrome Up and Crystal Up modes

160 Track and Sharp Ball Bottom

Unique to the Guardian Revizer, it comes with a 160 height track. Here you can see the comparison between the 230 and 160, only at almost 3/4 of the height of the 230.

Also unique to the Bey, a new Defense Bottom, the Sharp Ball (SB). I call it the "Bullet-head" as it resembles a bullet round tip. The SB when compared to the previous Ball Sharp (BS) seems not much of a difference.but the Tilt ratio of the Sharp Ball is higher compare to the other.

The 'Magic' behind the Perfect Balance Counter Capability

For those whom have been following the CoroCoro posts would have seen the sneak peek of the Revizer's "Perfect Balance Counter" feature. This feature enables the Guardian Revizer seem 'Stationary' in the ZeroG stadium even in high tilt angles.

When the ZeroG Stadium is in stationary status, the Guardian Revizer stay in its absolute center with little to no movement at all.

When the ZeroG Stadium is forcefully tilted (in this case by hand), the Revizer just seem to keep in the center gravitational bottom of the Stadium. Pretty nice effect, almost seem like magic.

Here is the actual "Magic"...

The design of the Guardian Revizer together with the special 160 Track and SB Bottom allows the Bey to have a 'Perfect' right angle spin point where the balance is in the center of the Bey.

No matter how high the Tilt, the combination of the 160 Track and the high angle tilt Sharp Ball Bottom, the Bey will always have a allowance angle without it Crystal or Chromium Wheel contacting the Stadium surface. This helps the Bey to keep its Centrifugal force and Spin Ratio.

Thats how its done :)

Battle Trials

As much as the 'Perfect Balance Counter' is being perfect, the High Recoil of the Revizer has its weakness. Battled the Guardian Revizer 160SB with Sychrom Orojya 145WD and here are the findings.

The High Recoil of the Revizer ChW, gave no chance of recovery when it was unable to obtain absolute center. Because the "Perfect Balance Counter" required the Revizer to be in the center of the Stadium, the Bey was unable to do any maneuver movement around the tilting stadium. 

With the Full Sychrom Orojya staying put in the center, it was just only time that the High Recoil of the Revizer knocked itself out of the pocket.Not very good.

Overall, the Guardian Revizer 160SB is an interesting Defence Bey with an unique 90 degrees right angle spin point design to max out Balance in the ZeroG Stadium. But the High Recoil of the Revizer Chromium Wheel sort of demolished the effect as it could not work together well with the 160 Track and SB Bottom. Even so, the Guardian Revizer is a must have for its Defence Capabilities and also the Balance Parts.
